"painting and drawing since grammar school, nicolena nina was entered in a statewide competition by her sixth grade art teacher, miss nina christie, won her first of many awards. she is self-taught and concentrates her work in the medium of acrylics. she is returning to exhibiting in the tri-state area after an absence caused by the effects of multiple sclerosis. having relocated from newark, belleville , nutley, verona in essex county to mendham & chester in morris county and now on to the beautiful lake mohawk in the mountains of sussex county new jersey. ms has slowly forced her to settle from a roaming gypsy life and continue to express herself more loudly thru her painting and uses the art venue to raise ms & and stem cell awareness."
