A Note from Marybeth-
I was diagnosed with MS in 2003. There are many ways to deal with MS, its symptoms, its tests and its treatments. The very least helpful is to worry about it, which is hard sometimes. So I've found that doing something creative, like art or gardening, shuts down that worrying chatterbox left brain for a while and helps a great deal. My first spinal tap was a disaster: The neurologist hit a nerve cord, and I had a week-long, blinding spinal headache afterward. When I was told I'd have to go in for another spinal procedure to repair it, I was awake the entire night before and completed 6 paintings. No sleep-- but I didn't worry all night. My family is a big help to me and I'm so thankful to have been blessed with a wonderful husband and son. I rely on prayer and God's guidance and believe we all have angels around us if we know where to look for them.
