A Note from Mark Carpenter-
I've enjoyed photography from early age and was given a Polaroid instant camera as a kid. Being a kid, I thought of it as more of a toy, but there was also the bud of what might be considered art. As an adult, I began to become more serious about it, showing and selling work, booking weddings, and began to make a name for myself. In December of '99, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, and as a result, had to retire on disability. Luckily, the cognitive issues that prevented me from continuing to work as a programmer didn't affect the artistic nature of photography. Though I've had to give up pursuing photography as a serious interest, I can still do limited sessions that don't involve extended periods of standing. The images used on this shirt are taken from my first solo show, "Little Worlds."
