I've been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis for three years now and I suppose I thought I could fight it like I fought regular colds, etc. Drink a lot of orange juice with some pills and life goes on. This was obviously different. I'd lost my job and my home & my kids and I lived in a homeless/halfway shelter called Hope House for 10 months. But I've gained so so much as well. I am now closer than ever before with my children and friends, see beauty in everyday life in such minute detail I know I'd have never been blessed enough to see before and believe in life in capital letters like I've never believed it before: LIFE!
The pic I took w/ the words I wrote are what I saw when I snapped it. Beauty does overcome everything if we just take the time to see, I think now...now that I've been through what I've been through. And taking pics is what I do on my walks to help get me out of my head. Everytime I look through the lens, I search for the beauty behind or beside the ugly.
